Folks travelling on select Air Canada flights are in for a treat from a Canadian-founded grocery chain.

T&T is officially a part of the snack basket on Air Canada flights! We are introducing the T&T Snack Mix so people travelling on Air Canada can enjoy a Canadian-founded brand on Canada’s flag carrier,” shared CEO of T&T Tina Lee on Instagram on her flight to Shanghai.

The newly offered snack mix includes a variety of rice crackers and assorted nuts.

“I know rice crackers is an Asian snack, but I really hope that all Canadians and everyone flying on Air Canada is loving these,” added Lee, sharing that it was nuts (literally) to see the snack mix on her Air Canada flight.

“We’re spreading the love of tasty Canadian snacks with a new mix from women-led T&T Supermarket,” said Air Canada.

You can find this new snack mix in the premium snack basket on all flights or in the Economy Class cabin on flights to and from Asia.

T&T opened its first stores in Richmond and Burnaby in 1993. The company’s name is based on the initials of the two founders’ daughters, Tina and Tiffany, as well as two of its initial investors: the Taiwanese company Tung-I and the U.S.-based Tawa. In 2009, T&T was acquired by Loblaw Companies Ltd.
