Whether you call it Tinseltown, the City of Angels, or La-La Land, Los Angeles is unquestionably one of the most trend-setting and vibrant cities in the world.

Home to the stars and the entertainment capital of the world, thousands of visitors flock each year hoping to experience the glitz and glam of Hollywood. And with the award season just around the corner, there’s no better time to head south to LA to experience the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

To help you conquer this sprawling city in only 72 hours – the A-lister way – we teamed up with our friends at Booking.com, to give you tips on how you can live the lavish life of a Hollywood star.

Day 1: Beverly Hills – That’s Where I Want to Be

You heard Weezer. When you arrive at LAX, grab a limo or rent an exotic car and head straight to your hotel. Check in to the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, also known as The Pink Palace, on Sunset Boulevard. This luxury property is a favourite among the likes of Johnny Depp, Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears and even some members of the royal family. Despite being around for over 100 years, the rooms and bungalows remain elegant yet modern. We suggest booking a bungalow if you want the ultimate in luxury. (Fun fact: Marilyn Monroe frequently stayed in Bungalow No.7.)

In the mood for a quick bite? Visit the hotel’s Polo Lounge, a popular dining place for celebrities. The best part about the hotel, however, is the pool. Grab your bathing suit after lunch for underwater music, private cabanas and personal staff service. After all, relaxing is essential for any superstar after spending hours on set or performing on a world tour. How else can someone like Adele preserve her voice?

Once you have spent a few hours by the pool, it’s time to get ready for your evening. Head to West Hollywood for dinner at the fairy-tale Chateau Marmont, a 1920’s castle-style hotel. From the antique chandeliers to an outdoor garden patio featuring with tiki torches, it’s sure to be an extravagant evening. The menu changes with the season, offering up dishes such as squash ravioli and cote de boeuf.

After dinner, make sure to catch a show at one of the most famous concert venues in the world, the Hollywood Bowl. There’s nothing quite like spending the night under the stars while watching a performance.

Day 2: Shop Til You Drop

“Big mistake! Huge!” We all remember this famous scene from the 90s rom-com Pretty Woman, where Julia Roberts has a decadent shopping experience on Rodeo Drive. Well, today’s your day! The three-kilometer street is one of the world’s top premiere shopping destinations, known for designer labels and haute couture fashion. Whether you choose to splurge on shoes, handbags, or clothes, it has every high-end boutique you can think of. Stop by the Ivy for lunch, which has been a celebrity magnet for years.

If shopping wasn’t enough cardio for you, Pure Barre Beverly Hills offers one of the trendiest fitness classes. Barre is a mix of strength building and ballet techniques, aiming to sculpt and lengthen your muscles. Celebrities love being fit (haven’t you seen the numerous paparazzi shots of them leaving the gym?) and though many have personal trainers, celebs like Kelly Ripa and Natalie Portman head to barre classes.

For a fun evening to end your busy day, the Beverly Wilshire is the ultimate hotspot. Dine at CUT, a steak and seafood restaurant created by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. Then, visit THE Blvd, an art-deco lounge with over 1,000 wine choices and a variety of cocktails to choose from.

Day 3: Exclusives-Only

Start your last day in L.A. on the right foot (and with a satisfied stomach) by enjoying an egg white frittata or buttermilk pancakes at Georgie at the Montage Beverly Hills. After breakfast, take a stroll in the Beverly Canon Gardens, adjacent from the hotel. Every celebrity needs attention-grabbing Instagram photos for their followers, whether of a landscape or a meal – this is the perfect opportunity to snap that photo. The gardens include rows of sycamore trees, African tulip trees and hand-carved fountains. Like a Kardashian, make sure the person taking your photo knows your angles. Who knows? You may gain even more followers!

Spend the rest of your morning at the American Tea Room Beverly Hills nearby. Hollywood’s royalty love exclusivity – which is why stars like Oprah head here for high-end teas from all over the world.  For a session of Grand Tea for $25 per person, you’ll be treated not only to tea, but petit fours by Valerie Confections – talk about fancy!

After three busy days, head back to the Beverly Hills Hotel to get pampered. You may not be heading to the red carpet, but you will feel like an Oscar winner. Those in the spotlight love the latest and greatest in spa treatments (even the most extreme) – at no cost. After all, it’s all about looking 20 at age 50. At La Prairie, there are a variety of unique ones to choose from. Begin with the Platinum Rare Facial at $525, involving an exclusive facial with La Prairie caviar products along with a hand and foot ritual, done by two therapists. Even stars need some TLC.
