10 townhouses in Mississauga currently listed under $850,000
The real estate market in the GTA is heating up with hundreds of new home options listed, including Mississauga townhouses.
Robert Van Rhijn, Broker of Record at Strata.ca says that although Mississauga saw a dip in home prices throughout the past year, dropping from a high of $850 per-square-foot in March, to a low of $768 per-square-foot in October, prices are on the way back up, making it a buyer’s market.
“Despite that drop, it has since rebounded aggressively, up to $820 per square foot by the end of January,” Van Rhijn said. “That’s an increase of almost 6% over the past 60 days alone. Mississauga is now up 4.40% year-over-year.”

Van Rhijn predicts that this upward trend will only continue to grow as more people leave Toronto for other markets.
“I suspect as prices continue to increase in the Toronto area, there will be more spillover into the Mississauga market,” he said. “And that will put more upward pressure on prices. Any buyers sitting on the sidelines would be smart to enter the market now.”
