A wind warning remains in effect for Toronto.
According to Environment Canada, as a cold front moves across the region early Wednesday morning strong westerly winds will develop in its wake with gusts of winds expected to reach up to 90 km/hr.
Environment Canada says winds will gradually begin to diminish by Wednesday evening.
These winds may produce power outages in some places.
Environment Canada also says damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
If you’re planning on heading out today, be cautious of the strong winds and any loose flying objects.
