Environment Canada issues wind warning for Toronto

Apr 4 2018, 2:25 am

Environment Canada has issued its second weather warning today.

In addition to significant rainfall expected for this evening, Toronto will also be hit with gusts of winds reaching up to 90 km/hr on Wednesday.

According to Environment Canada, as a cold front moves across the region early Wednesday morning strong westerly winds will develop in its wake.

Environment Canada says winds will gradually begin to diminish by Wednesday evening.

These winds may produce power outages in some places.

Environment Canada also says damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

If you’re planning on heading out tomorrow, be cautious of the strong winds and any loose flying objects.
