It's expected to feel over 30°C in Toronto next week

Toronto is going to face some hot weather this weekend and into next week as temperatures are expected to feel over 30°C, according to Environment Canada.

Although temperatures will remain in the mid to high 20s, the humidex will turn up the heat until the end of next week.

According to Environment Canada, temperatures tonight will have a high of 27°C, 30°C with the humidity.

Heading into the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are forecasted to linger around 31°C with the humidex and 30°C throughout the day, respectively.

Monday and Tuesday will be 29°C and 28°C with a chance of showers to cool off, but with the humidex, it’ll feel closer to 40°C.

As for Wednesday and Thursday, a mix of sun and clouds will make a come back with a forecasted high of 29°C for both days.

Throughout the week, the humidex will make it feel like over 30°C for almost seven days straight.

The change of weather comes in time for the weekend as ActiveTO closures encourage city residents to head outdoors with their bikes or for walks while social distancing

At the moment, there is not currently a heat warning in effect, however, it is always important to stay hydrated during the hot days of summer.
