A hidden urban oasis in Toronto has officially reopened

Summer is in full swing, and a hidden urban oasis has officially reopened in the city.

elmspa, the boutique sister to Elmwood Spa, had opened its doors for a city escape at 557 Church Street.

The hidden gem is located just blocks from Cabbagetown and Yorkville and “boasts a lush greenhouse for rest and reflection, and approaches well-being holistically with a Feng Shui space encouraging harmony, relaxation and wellness,” according to the spa.

“I know that in extraordinary times like these people need an oasis more than ever, so we are thrilled to be able to offer these services that have the power to transport us” said Marie Picton, executive director of Elmwood Spa, elmspa and Bangkok Garden Restaurant.

“Of course, we have implemented extensive safety protocols and we are confident our new processes and procedures will ensure the safety and well-being of our staff and guests.”

While providing their usual services, expect the “extensive safety protocols” to include temperature checks and mandatory masks for guests and staff, COVID-19 questionnaires, increased sanitization, physical distancing, and reduced capacity.

And get ready to relax.
