Coming soon to Toronto is a festival that’ll bring tequilas and mezcals to the heart of Queen East.

The Toronto Tequila Festival will land at Berkeley Church on October 4, offering a space to taste-test the spirits straight, on the rocks, mixed into cocktails, or, of course, paired with tacos.

“With tequila sales in Canada more than doubling in the last ten years, we figured it was time to create an event that features the agave spirits,” Scott Rondeau, co-owner at Drink Inc. and co-founder of the Toronto Tequila Festival said in a release. “Our goal is to also incorporate an educational component so that our audience understands the full scope and history of this beautiful, handcrafted spirit.”

Admission is $20 in advance, or $30 at the door, which includes an official sampling cup and wristband.

Vouchers or tokens will cost $2 each at this pay-as-you-go event. Prices and quantities of featured tequilas, mezcals, cocktails will vary.

In addition to eats and drinks, attendees can also look forward to educational sessions hosted by local tequila expert and owner of Drink Tank, Jon Gray, throughout the event, at no extra charge.
