There will be partial subway closures on both Line 1 and 2 this weekend

This weekend, there are a number of scheduled subway closures on both Line 1 and 2 that you need to prepare for.

This Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, the portion of Line 1 between Lawrence and St Clair stations will be closed to allow Metrolinx crews to continue work on the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.

As a result, four stations will be closed.

According to the TTC, replacement shuttle buses will run along Yonge Street, stopping at each station along the route.

TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle loading and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station.

In addition to shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.

All stations will remain open for fare sales and access to surface routes.

The TTC also said wheel-trans will be available upon request from any station throughout the weekend. As Lawrence Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an accessible connection should use York Mills Station instead.

Additionally, there will be a partial closure on Line 2 between Warden and Kennedy stations on Sunday, December 1, for maintenance and as a result, two stations will be closed.

During this closure, shuttle buses will operate. However, as Warden is not yet an accessible station, customers travelling eastbound who require an accessible connection should exit the train at Victoria Park Station and request wheel-trans service from any TTC employee.
