On Thursday morning, Toronto woke up to its first official snowfall of the year.

And whether you’re ready for it or not, the inevitable winter-like weather is here and it doesn’t look like it’s leaving any time soon.

According to The Weather Network, most of the region is expected to see between 1 to 3 cm of snow on Thursday, while locally higher amounts are possible north of the 401 and above the escarpment where totals could approach 5 cm.

While parts of the region have already experienced snow this month, Toronto’s first snowfall of the year began early Thursday morning.

And luckily, those brave enough to bundle up and head outside happened to snap some photos of the white fluffy stuff.

Here’s a look at what Toronto’s first snowfall of the year looked like.
