Downtown Toronto's rooftop skating rink is reopening this weekend

Please Note: As of March 8, Toronto is under the province’s Grey Zone. This means you must stay at home as much as possible and only go out for necessities, including getting food, going to work, and getting exercise. If you go out, maintain the six-foot physical distancing guidelines and wear a mask.

Downtown Toronto’s rooftop skating rink is set to reopen this weekend.

With outdoor dining now permitted in Ontario’s lockdown zones, The Porch can reopen its popular patio, and with it, the Sky Skate experience.

The one-of-a-kind rink offers breathtaking views of the CN Tower, and pizza and drinks can be enjoyed on the adjacent heated patio.

COVID-19 health and safety measures, including physical distancing, mandatory masks, and single-direction skating, will be in place.

Sky Skate will be open daily and will run through April, The Porch said.

The experience was initially launched in November of 2020, but was forced to close when Toronto was placed under a lockdown.

“Voted one of the best rooftops in Toronto year over year, we have no doubt that Sky Skate will continue this legacy,” The Porch said.

“If you’re up for some good old fashioned fun, a skate date, or an outing for the whole family – reserve a skating session up top.”
