The Toronto Raptors may not be done making moves ahead of the trade deadline this afternoon.

Based on a new report from Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, the Raptors are looking to make one final move, and it sounds like it could involve Chris Boucher.

Boucher, 32, is the Raptors’ longest-tenured player, having been with the organization since 2018. The veteran forward has appeared in 43 games this season, averaging 17.4 minutes along with 10.5 points and 4.3 rebounds. He carries a $10.81 million cap hit and is set to become a UFA at the end of the season.

Boucher’s best season to date came in 2020-21, where he averaged 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds through 60 games. He finished sixth in voting for the Sixth Man of the Year award.

The Raptors first move ahead of today’s trade deadline came last night, as they acquired former All-Star Brandon Ingram in a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans that saw them ship out Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Olynyk, a first-round draft pick, and a second-round pick. The 27-year-old is set to become a UFA this offseason.

The Raptors made an additional trade this morning, sending point guard Damion Mitchell to the Miami Heat. In return, they received PJ Tucker (who they are expected to buy out), a second-round pick, and cash.

Though the Raptors are in a rebuilding stage, they’ve been showing signs of growth as of late with a 6-4 record over their last 10 games. They sit 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 16-35 record.

The NBA’s trade deadline is scheduled for 3 pm ET/noon PT.
