The Toronto Raptors are adding another player to their mix.

The Raptors have signed Louisville’s Chucky Hepburn as an undrafted free agent on a two-way contract, as per Shams Charania of ESPN.

NBADraft.net describes Hepburn as “one of the more tenacious guards in the class” who “competes hard on every possession and brings vocal leadership and toughness… Smart, instinctive player who plays to his strengths and shows genuine floor general qualities.

Hepburn averaged 16.4 points in his senior season, transferring to Louisville after three seasons with Wisconsin.

What else did the Raptors do this week?

At ninth overall in the draft, Toronto took Collin Murray-Boyles with the ninth overall pick.

A 6-foot-7 forward out of South Carolina, the Raptors’ front office was clearly happy with the selection, even if there was some buzz that his reaction appeared less-than-ideal.

“We had him higher than [ninth on our draft board],” Raptors general manager Bobby Webster said. “I think the defensive stuff, versatility, you know, we’ve seen a lot of players here be successful in that role. And I think that was high on our list.”

On Day 2 of the NBA Draft, the Raptors selected Alijah Martin from the University of Florida with the 39th overall pick. Martin was a five-year college player, playing his first four years at Florida Atlantic University before transferring for his final year.

“Just watching him at his different stops in college, he’s a proven winner,” Raptors assistant general manager Dan Tolzman said of Martin.
