To continue serving its customers better, the province has announced its plans to make taking GO Transit easier and more convenient for commuters and families.

Beginning next month, GO Transit will be adding more late-night and weekend train trips along the Lakeshore GO corridor and more early-morning service on the UP Express.

Starting on Saturday, April 7, commuters will be able to enjoy new weekend morning trips and daily late-night trips on the Lakeshore West and East lines. There will be 52 new trips per week in total on the two lines.

These additional trips will provide more consistent service every 30 minutes, seven days a week for commuters and families travelling between Oakville and Toronto on the Lakeshore West line, and between Oshawa and Toronto on the Lakeshore East line.

In addition to these services, the UP Express will also be adding two early-morning trips between Union and Pearson Airport, for a total of 14 additional trips per week.

The two new trips will depart from Union at 4:55 am and 5:10 am, making the UP Express an even more convenient form of travel for those having to catch early flights and for airport employees.

Currently, the first train from Union to Pearson Airport departs at 5:30 am.
