Toronto Maple Leafs WAGs sporting custom jackets and jewellery for playoffs

Every spring, when the Toronto Maple Leafs make the playoffs, there’s an intense fever surrounding how the team will look on the ice.

With Toronto having, well, a checkered past with the playoffs to say the least, there’s bound to be a bit of skepticism about how the team will perform in the postseason.

But one thing that we can always count on to deliver come playoff time is the Leafs’ wives and girlfriends, colloquially referred to as WAGs.

As has become an annual tradition around the NHL, the players’ partners have come together to design a uniform of their own, wearing Leafs-themed jackets that each sport their name and number of their respective partner. It’s a nice way to showcase the close connection between the team’s partners each season, and also quickly becomes a topic that fans tend to have opinions on.

This year, it appears that Toronto’s contingent opted for a black-and-white approach, with a simple name-and-number on the back next to the Toronto sideline and a small maple leaf on the front.

But that’s not the only way that the group is balling out to support their boys.

It appears that at least a few of the WAGs have also partnered up with a local jeweller in Toronto, with artist v made connecting with Bobby McMann’s partner, Svet, on some custom 14k gold and pearl bracelets for the postseason.

With three more of the Stanley Cup Playoffs series yet to begin, we aren’t quite yet sure how the Leafs’ WAG jackets stack up against the rest of the league. But given how Toronto came out ahead with a 6-2 victory in their debut matchup, perhaps the Leafs have found their good luck charm for a deep playoff run.
