There’s a new place to cool off at this summer — and it’s just a quick 15-minute ferry ride away from the Toronto harbourfront.
Located in the heart of Centre Island, part of the Toronto Islands, at the Centerville Amusement Park, is the City’s new water play splash pad, which is officially open to the public.

“This fun and imaginative City of Toronto splash pad will be a cool and refreshing highlight for those visiting Centreville,” reads a statement from the amusement park.
The splash pad will be open from 9 am to 8:30 pm throughout the summer, giving you ample time to cool off and have some fun.
The best part is, it’s completely free for the public to enjoy.
Along with a new splash pad, visitors can enjoy all the popular Centreville rides, including taking a spin on the 111-year-old antique carousel or zooming down the log ride.
The ferry runs to Centre Island seven days a week, and tickets cost $8.19 for adults; $5.37 for youth (ages 15 to 19) and seniors (over 65 with proof of age); $3.95 for kids (ages 2 to 14); and free for infants under two.
