Icefest is taking over Yorkville Village again this winter

Dec 13 2017, 3:45 am

Once the new year begins, it will mark the return of Toronto’s annual Icefest in Yorkville.

Toronto’s historic Yorkville neighbourhood will be transformed into a showcase of delicate, stunning ice sculptures using over 20,000 lbs of crystal clear ice from February 24 to 25.

The main event is, of course, the  Sassafraz Ice Carving Competition, which will be taking over the east side of the Village of Yorkville Park.

There will also be plenty of food, a ‘Maple Syrup Taffy Station’, ice carving demonstrations by some of the most talented ice carvers in Ontario, and an Icefest lounge.

February is Heart Month and Icefest will help support the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

So clear some room in your calendars for this February, as this is a winter event you won’t want to miss!
