You can purchase a Christmas stocking for shelter animals in Toronto

No one likes to be alone over the holidays, including shelter animals who are waiting to find their forever homes.

But this year, you can make Christmas morning a little more enjoyable for shelter animals at the Toronto Humane Society with the purchase of a festive stocking filled with treats and toys.

“For animals without a family, each morning is the same as the last. We wanted to change that with stocking stuffers, a fundraiser where you can share a little of the Holiday Spirit with animals without a home,” reads the Toronto Humane Society website.

“We’ve already given our animals their very own stockings. All we need now is you.”

When you purchase one of the shelter’s stocking stuffers, an animal’s stocking will be filled with festive gifts on your behalf.

Not only that, but soon after they’ve gotten into their goodies on that special morning, you’ll receive a personal ‘thank you’ from one of the animals.

According to the Toronto Humane Society, all proceeds go straight back to the care of the animals.

There are 15 stocking stuffers to choose from and they range in price from $10 to $200.
