A week ahead of the scheduled event, Toronto’s first Hop Chow Block Party has been cancelled.

The block party was a follow-up to the Toronto festival which debuted last December and was meant to feature collaborations from Toronto chefs and brewers serving up “delicious bites complemented by amazing brews.”

Festival organizers announced via Instagram this week that “due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re sad to announce the [sic] our Hop Chow Block Party on July 28th has been canceled. For those of you that have purchased tickets, you’ve been issued a full refund.”

Hop Chow isn’t the only summer festival to be cancelled this week. Toronto’s Taste of ManilaBudweiser County Fair, and Harold’s Fish Festival all announced that they won’t go on as planned.
