No Frills and FreshCo employees test positive for COVID-19

Two Toronto area grocery stores reported positive COVID-19 cases among staff on Wednesday as the province continues to see a high number of cases.

According to Loblaws’ daily coronavirus update, an employee at Vito’s No Frills, located at 3685 Keele Street, tested positive for coronavirus on November 4. The employee had lost worked in the store on October 30.

Sobeys has also reported a positive case among one of their staff members at a FreshCo location in Mississauga.

An employee at the 7205 Goreway Drive location in Mississauga reported a positive case on October 30. The last day the employee worked was on October 26.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws regularly updates their coronavirus cases in stores by province within the last 15 days, as well as Sobey’s within 14 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
