Environment Canada issues fog advisory for City of Toronto

New week, new weather advisories.

Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for the City of Toronto this morning, as patchy dense fog has developed throughout the GTA and surrounding areas.

The advisory expects near zero visibility in the fog, which is expected to lift later this morning.

Cities affected by the fog advisory are:

  • City of Hamilton
  • City of Toronto
  • Halton – Peel
  • Huron – Perth
  • London – Middlesex
  • Oxford – Brant
  • Waterloo -Wellington
  • York – Durham

Travel is expected to be hazardous in the foggy conditions, so be sure to give yourself some extra time on the road to reach your destination, turn on your lights (not high beams) and maintain a safe following distance and watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
