It appears the seemingly never-ending chilly days are coming to an end, as much warmer temperatures have arrived.

This afternoon, the high is expected to reach 25°C in the city, which will feel more like 30°C with the humidex, making this the warmest day of the year, so far.

But don’t get too excited, today’s high temperatures will be adjoined by “a few showers” and the chance of thunderstorms, according to Environment Canada.

Thursday will come with unsettled weather, with wind expected to reach gusts of up to 50 km/h this morning and into the evening.

Showers are expected to begin around 11 am, with the chance of thunderstorms from 12 pm through 5 pm.

The temperature will drop to 12°C overnight, but sunshine is expected on Friday with a high of 23°C.
