While finding a parking ticket on your vehicle is typically at the top of the list of the worst things to discover, a group in Toronto is trying to change that perception.

A group of thoughtful masterminds have been issuing hundreds of fake parking tickets throughout the city with the hopes of brightening people’s day.

The tickets, which look very similar to legitimate Toronto police parking tickets, feature funny and positive notes, where the infraction and vehicle description would go.

One of the fake tickets says: “Doing a fantastic parking job. Probably the best I’ve seen on this entire street.”

“Some days just suck, don’t they? Some days suck, and then you get a parking ticket. Today is not one of those days. Today is a good day, ” reads one of the tickets.

Those who receive the parking tickets are encouraged to share a photo of their ticket on social media with the hashtag #YourFineTO and to pay it forward by placing the ticket on someone else’s vehicle.

According to the city, an average of 2.8 million parking tickets are issued annually, so receiving one of these fake tickets definitely wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen to you this holiday season.
