Undomesticated
What: The Koffler Gallery presents the sprawling group show, Undomesticated, featuring the work of 24 artists over all three floors of Artscape Youngplace – the largest exhibition in the gallery’s recent history. Through critical investigations of the domestic realm, Undomesticated considers the psychological, political and emotional layers that shape our sense of home and belonging.

She Walks With Apes
What: Watch the new feature-length film featuring the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees, Jane Goodall, and narrated by actress, Sandra Oh tells the remarkable story of the “Trimates,” three pioneering women who went into the jungles of Africa and Borneo to live with humanity’s closest cousins, the Great Apes.

Among All These Tundras
What: See a collection of contemporary art by Indigenous artists from around the circumpolar world at the opening reception for Among All These Tundras. Together, the works politically and poetically express current Arctic concerns towards land, language, sovereignty and resurgence. Learn about how northern kinship unites different peoples touched by colonialism and ecology over time.

MYTORONTO photo exhibit
What: In May 2019, 101 single-use Fujifilm cameras were distributed to people marginalized by homelessness and poverty. When participants returned their cameras, 2,300 photos were printed, and 40 of those photos were selected for a public exhibit. This year, the public was invited to vote online for their favourite photo and the winner will receive the prestigious MYTORONTO People’s Choice Award. Come meet some of the incredible photographers, hear their stories, and see the calendar.

The Stranger 2.0: Above and Below
What: The walkabout performance, The Stranger, returns to Toronto with a brand-new version, The Stranger 2.0. For the first time, the performance will include two audience members at a time and will feature an exciting new virtual reality component, allowing the production to unfold on the streets of Toronto
When: September 18 to 28
Time: Monday to Friday, 5 pm to 9:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm
