From Canada’s largest DIY pop-up market to a massive three-day Oktoberfest party, here are the hottest Toronto events of the week

Toronto Oktoberfest 2018

What: Don your finest lederhosen and dirndls under a massive Bavarian-style Festhalle tent in the Ontario Place parking lot. Modelled after the original Munich event, this volks fest, presented by ERDINGER, promises food, beer, a 20-piece brass band, and a fun fair!

When: September 27 to 29

Buffer Festival

What: Buffer Festival is an annual showcase of YouTube world premieres, bringing the most acclaimed digital creators and their audiences together. Held from Thursday, September 27 to Sunday, September 30, the festival includes a variety of programming, including a red carpet gala and premiere screenings, showcasing an array of YouTube’s highest quality content.

Etsy Made in Canada

What: The fifth annual flagship Etsy: Made in Canada show returns to Toronto this month, featuring a variety of handmade and vintage Canadian Etsy sellers.

Relish

What: A two-day food festival aims to “put all foodies into a legit food coma,” when it pops up in Toronto’s west end this month. RELISH The Foodie Event is FREE to attend and will see a dozen food vendors congregate in the parking lot at Cloverdale Mall.

Wanderlust

What: Wanderlust is the Leslieville BIA’s signature event of the year. It’s a customer appreciation event that highlights the people, places and things unique only to Leslieville. Come and enjoy delicious food, live music, and art.

Nuit Blanche Toronto

What: From sunset to sunrise on September 29, Nuit Blanche will be taking over the city. Every year, Nuit Blanche transforms the city into an elaborate pageantry of thought-provoking pieces, light installations, and wild colours. The event features hundreds of local, national and international artists presenting contemporary pieces.
