Well Toronto, the weekend is finally here.

If you haven’t had a chance to make any plans yet, there’s plenty to see and do over the next few days, and we’ve rounded up the crème de la crème of weekend events.

Come Up To My Room

‘These Pixels are TOO sweet’ by An Dy/Come Up to My Room 2019

What: The Gladstone Hotel’s annual Come Up to My Room exhibit provides artists and designers with the opportunity to take risks and to push their ideas, creating an immersive and interactive experience for the viewer.

Winter at Ontario Place

What: Following last year’s successful inaugural winter program, Ontario Place will once again come alive this winter season. Running from now to March 17, the West Island of Ontario Place will be home to the Winter Light Exhibition, free public skating on a synthetic rink and community bonfires. This year, visitors can also look forward to a series of DJ nights at the iconic waterfront venue and bring a range of beloved films to Cinesphere.

Toronto International Boat Show

Toronto Light Fest

What: For the third year in a row, the historic Distillery District will be home to the Toronto Light Fest this winter. Designed to entertain and inspire, the free to attend light festival will feature curated light installations and illuminated sculptures created by a number of local and international artists.

Chocolate and Caramel Workshop

The Greatest Showman Screening

Ice Breakers

‘Tripix’ by Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada)

What: Now in its third year, temporary winter art exhibit Ice Breakers is returning to Toronto’s waterfront. Organized by Winter Stations and The Waterfront Business Improvement Area (WBIA), Ice Breakers will provide the city with five temporary wintertime art installations that are 100% free to the public.

Free Bubble Tea

What: For this sarcastic spot’s grand opening, you’ll be able to try one of their signature drinks for free. To get a free drink, you must be one of Song Tea’s first 100 customers on January 19 or 20, and you must bring along one of these vouchers.

Toronto Blue Jays Winter Fest

What: Spring training doesn’t start for three more months, but that doesn’t mean the Toronto Blue Jays are taking the winter off. This weekend, the second annual Toronto Blue Jays Winter Fest returns! Fans can look forward to player, prospect, and alumni appearances, SN personalities, Jr. Jays activations, live entertainment, historic memorabilia, baseball-themed games, a Ferris wheel, a skating rink, catch and throw, batting radar cages, ballpark tours, and much more

2019 Repair Cafe

What: Don’t throw it away, fix it! Bring in a broken household item to the Repair Cafe where you can get help fixing it for free. Volunteers fix household items, ranging from small household appliances such as toasters and lamps to computers and clothes. There will even be a bike repair booth available outside the library’s front doors.

Toronto Women’s March

What: This January, join Toronto as it unites its communities to march in the name of women everywhere. There will be a number of motivational speakers in attendance, who will be announced closer to the march.

Après Skate Saturdays

The Bentway

What: If you’re in the mood for ice skating, head to the Bentway where skaters over 19 can enjoy complimentary samples of Kahlúa with coffee or hot chocolate on Saturday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm. Après Skate Saturdays run every Saturday until February 16.
