From cannabis legalization to the Red Bull Music Festival, there are plenty of cool events worth checking out this week.

Canadian Pizza Summit

What: This is the only trade show in Canada dedicated to everyone’s favourite art form: pizza making. Whether someone is a pizzeria owner or employee, or are looking to get into the industry, this show is perfect for all kinds of people (or for anyone who just really likes pizza). See over 12 exhibitions specializing in the pizza industry, keynote speakers on topics such as millennial attitudes, and educational seminars.

Legalization Day at Trinity Bellwoods

What: In honour of cannabis legalization day, the public is invited to come together for an epic legalization smoke session at Trinity Bellwoods. Currently, there are over 3,000 people interested in attending the event on Facebook, so arrive early to claim a spot and don’t forget to bring the good vibes.

Clough Club Takeover

What: On Wednesday, October 17, Vancouver’s favourite cocktail den Clough Club is taking over Toronto’s Death & Taxes Free House as part of Toronto Cocktail Week. For one night only, current staff and alumni from the popular Gastown bar will take over the Queen West hotspot for an evening of killer cocktails and elevated street food, including gourmet hot dogs and Clough Club’s locally-famous Potachos available to take the edge off late-night appetites.

Red Bull Music Festival Toronto 2018

What: While summer is over, festival season continues as Red Bull brings its inaugural Music Festival to Toronto this month. This October, Red Bull Music Festival will take over several venues in Toronto for a week of shows throughout the city.

International Festival of Authors

What: The 39th edition of Toronto’s International Festival of Authors (IFOA) is a celebration of words and ideas, of writers and readers.
