What: For one day this week, you can witness Canada’s rapidly growing tech space at the fifth annual Cantech Investment Conference in Toronto. The one-day conference is the biggest of its kind in Canada and it’s set to showcase more than 110 public and private tech companies and startups, while highlighting the hottest trends in the industry.

What: La Poutine Week kicks off in Toronto this will give diners the chance to try the ultimate poutines at select restaurants in the city. The dining public will have a chance to eat and vote on their favourites before a winner is announced at the end of the week.

What: You finally have a chance to watch all your favourite cult-classic films on the big screen. Cineplex is hosting the Flashback Film Festival at select theatres across Canada, where attendees will be able to sit back with some movie theatre popcorn and enjoy their favourite flicks from the ’80s and ’90s. The lineup includes Back to the Future, Gremlins, Hot Fuzz, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Big Lebowski, and more.

What: If you’re looking for fun way to spend your Saturday nights this winter, you’re going to want to hit up the Harbourfront Centre’s DJ Skate Nights. This Saturday, Dr. Jay de Soca Prince will be serving up soca rink-side for the hottest winter party in town.

What: Feel like your Earl Grey routine is growing old? This weekend at the Toronto Reference Library, tea drinkers will be able to discover something new with the hundreds of tea tastings and opportunities to visit with experts from the industry at one of the many complimentary presentations. There will be, of course, plenty of opportunities to shop, as there will be teas, teawares, and related products for sale.
