When the weather starts to drop, it means it’s officially time to go skating.

And it just so happens that the city’s most scenic rink has opened its doors for the winter season.

Set against the beautiful shoreline of Lake Ontario, the Natrel Skating Rink has been an unparalleled skating destination in Toronto for more than 30 years.

The rink is complete with heated indoor change rooms and its own rink-side bar and grill for those interested in getting a snack post-skate. The best part? Skating at the Harbourfront rink is totally free.

Don’t have skates? No problem.  The rink offers affordable rentals in its Skate Change Room, located beside the Natrel Rink.

Starting in December, Natrel will also host a DJ skate night every Saturday evening, for those who want to combine skating and clubbing.

While there are plenty of skating rinks located in the city, Queen’s Quay easily offers up some of the most beautiful views of the city, and skating with a view of the lake and the city skyline is definitely a great way to spend a winter day.

If you haven’t had the chance to skate at the Natrel skating rink before, here are some photos from the opening weekend.
