Want to know how many break-ins have happened in your neighbourhood?

A new website launched by city police provides Toronto crime stats and data for various neighbourhoods in the city.

The Public Safety Data Portal keeps statistics on major crime indicators, homicide, traffic, and fatal collisions.

The website allows users to filter results based on date and neighbourhood, with available statistics dating back to 2004.

Toronto police have also created the Community Asset Portal (CAP) which is a tool that shows an up-to-date map of social services such as shelters, community resource navigators, and mental health and youth support services.

Earlier today, Toronto police announced they would be hiring 80 new officers by the end of the year.
