But first — cold.
As of 8 am, it was -17.6°C at Pearson Airport and -26°C with the windchill, prompting Environment Canada to issue a final Extreme Cold Warning for this never ending week.

According to the weather agency, “wind chills near minus 30 will continue for the first half of this morning in many areas, however, wind chills will improve beginning later this morning as temperatures begin their ascent out of the deep freeze.”
In fact, that accession is going to continue all the way into the plus side of 0°C by Sunday, with a high of 3°C expected.
Not quite time to break out your flip flops, but perhaps time to breathe a sigh of relief… that won’t sting your lungs with bitter cold.
