It feels like -23°C in Toronto this morning

If you haven’t left home yet this morning, maybe… don’t? And if that’s just not an option, then layer up.

It is frigid outside.

According to Environment Canada, while the weather in Toronto this morning is -8°C, the wind chill has the city feeling like it’s -23°C.

The good news though, is that as the day goes on, the chill should ease up. The forecast predicts the feels-like temperature to rise to -11°C this afternoon.

Your Friday night is expected to be a cold one, with actual temperatures of a low -13°C with a wind chill of -20°C, and rising to -6°C by morning.

The City of Toronto also issued an Extreme Cold Weather Alert on Thursday in anticipation of colder weather conditions within the next 24 hours or longer.

The Extreme Cold Weather Alert will be in effect until further notice.

Additionally, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Thursday in advance of “significant snowfall” expected between Friday night and Saturday evening.

Sunday also sees a chance of flurries, with an expected temperature of -0°C and then -11°C at night. On Monday, the sun will peek out and the daytime temperature will sit around -4°C with the night being as cold as Sunday’s.

Tuesday will see sun and temperatures of -3°C and -7°C, for day and night respectively.
