Toronto Christmas Market confirms it’s returning this year

It might be feeling like summer outside, but winter is coming, and with it comes the annual Toronto Christmas Market.

This year, you can get into holiday spirit starting November 16. The Market will feature entertainment, beer gardens, vendors, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer. Get cozied up, and head down to the Distillery District to experience its magic.

This holiday tradition will also feature one of the city’s largest real Christmas trees this year, which will be over 50 feet high and have over 18,000 ornaments and lights.

While admission remains free during weekdays, the non-profit organization has evening and weekend charges — but worry not, it all goes to charity.

Funds raised from the admission fee help grow the festival, and support three charities: The Daily Bread Food Bank which helps provide nutritious food to people struggling with hunger, Plan International Canada which helps families and children in developing countries to break the cycle of poverty, and The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund which helps provide gifts to underprivileged children.

Tickets are available online and at the door. The market is closed on Mondays, but the Distillery District is open seven days a week.
