Regardless of how the AL East Division race plays out, the Toronto Blue Jays will be playing playoff baseball this season.
The Jays were able to officially punch their ticket to the postseason thanks to an 8-5 win over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Of course, at that point, they also seemed destined to take home the division title, but some rough play as of late has put that into question.
The Blue Jays have now lost six of their last seven outings after dropping Wednesday’s game to the Boston Red Sox by a 7-1 final. While they still hold the tiebreaker over the New York Yankees thanks to winning their season series 8-5, both teams now hold an identical 90-68 record with five games to go.

Current AL East Division standings
Should the Jays wind up falling out of the top spot and finishing the season in a wild-card position, they would begin that best-of-three series on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Assuming the Jays can, at the very least, hold the top wild-card spot, all three games would be held at Rogers Centre in a series that, based on today’s standings, would be against the Boston Red Sox.
Fans who are hoping to get a seat in the building for that potential wild-card series are in luck, as prices on Ticketmaster are quite reasonable. In fact, there are plenty of standard tickets for the first game of that potential series that are available for less than $85, with the lowest price currently going for $77.05.

Tickets for the exact same price also remain available for the second and third games of the wild-card series. Should the Jays wind up getting a bye pass in the wild-card round, fans who purchase these tickets will receive a full refund.
As for the Jays’ potential AL Division Series, prices increase dramatically. Should they reach that point, whether it be through clinching the division in the regular season or advancing through the wild-card round, fans will be paying much more to get through the Rogers Centre doors.
Only verified resale tickets are available for all three of the potential AL Division Series games that will take place in Toronto. For Game 1, prices begin at a steep $252.88. There are a few tickets available for Game 2 at a slightly lower price of $241.56, while they increase up to $266.56 for Game 3.

Tickets only get more expensive for fans looking for great seats, with several options for all three AL Division Series games going for north of $1,000.
The race for the division title is coming right down to the wire, though the Jays, despite struggling as of late, still control their own destiny. They have one game remaining on Thursday night versus the Red Sox, before ending their season with a three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays.
