It's going to feel like over 30°C in Toronto for a week straight

If you haven’t already, it’s time to break out the summer clothes and swimwear, because Toronto is expecting a week straight of the humidex reaching over 30°C.

The warm weather will begin on Friday, with The Weather Network forecasting a sunny day with a high of 30°C. It will, however, feel like 33°C with the humidex, and winds are also expected to reach 24 km/h.

The rest of the week is also forecasted to be mainly sunny except for Saturday, as there is a risk of thunderstorms. As well, one to three mm of rain has been predicted by The Weather Network.

Meanwhile, Sunday is expected to see a high of 27°C but feel like 32°C, and both Monday and Tuesday are forecasted at 28°C with a humidex of 34°C and 33°C.

On July 1, Canada Day, you will be able to enjoy the outdoors as temperatures are expected to mirror Monday with a high of 28°C and a humidex of 34°C.

Thursday is forecasted to be the hottest of the week, as the humidex is set at 36°C.

The City’s outdoor swimming pools will be opening this weekend. Giving residents a place to cool down during the hot weather. Several beaches are also open with lifeguards.

This weekend, the Toronto Islands will also be reopening for visitors, and ferries will be running.

Be sure to drink lots of water, as officials suggest, if you plan to spend time outside.

Never leave any people or pets inside a parked vehicle, and be sure to social distance, as usual.
