Torontoās been buzzing withĀ celebrity sightingsĀ over the last few days during the 44th annual Toronto International Film Festival.
But one celebrity sighting, in particular, has the internet in a frenzy after legendary actor Tom Hanks made a surprise visit to a Toronto coffee shop.
Leading up to the festival, Grinder Coffee on Gerrard invited the American actor to visit the coffee shop, using the hashtag #tomneedsgrinder to get his attention.

Ahead of the premiere of Hankās latest filmĀ A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood,Ā the actor paid the coffee shop a visit to the delight of staff.
“Sorry for the bad pics he came when we were closing up. Joelle was at home but had a lovely chat with him. Thanks [Tom Hanks] for taking the time to come by and visit us we admire you.”

This isnāt the first time the cafe has tried to get a celebrity to stop by during TIFF. Previously, the coffee shop attempted to getĀ Idris ElbaĀ to stop in, but unfortunately, theĀ Mollyās GameĀ actor was a no-show, BUT, Canadian actor Ryan Gosling has shown up.
