Tim Hortons is bringing back this iconic cheesy menu item

We can’t believe it— it’s official. Tim Hortons is bringing back the iconic grilled cheese sandwich, much to the joy of all of its customers.
Tim Hortons made an announcement on social media today, revealing that the grilled cheese sandwich will be returning to restaurants across Canada. The grilled cheese was removed during the rollout of some fresh new items in 2024, like the flatbread pizzas (which have certainly been a choice).
This sandwich was one of the most popular menu items, and there was extreme outrage at its removal in the first place. We can’t be the only ones who remember the petition to bring it back, could we?
Since then, the animosity has only grown stronger. Through this, and perhaps the arrival of Dunkin’ Donuts in Canada, Tims has made an executive decision to bring back the cheese.

Starting Monday, June 1, 2026, the grilled cheese will be back at Tim Hortons locations across Canada. It’ll be a big day for Canadians around the country, and even bigger for those grilled cheese enthusiasts out there.
People are rejoicing in the comments of the Instagram announcement post.
“I COULD CRY RIGHT NOW,” shares one user.
“Should have never been taken away to begin with. Glad you’re listening,” said another.
We used to pray for times like these. Finally, our prayers have been answered.
