This Toronto food truck has started making house calls

While restaurants across the city turn to takeout and delivery to ride out the current state of… well, everything, food trucks are also facing the dilemma of having no crowds to feed.

But one Toronto option for meals on wheels — The Smoke Stop — has found a solution: house calls.

The Mediterannean BBQ joint has launched a delivery service that takes them to different parts of Toronto on different days of the week.

To order is simple; all you need to do is review the spot’s menu and DM them with your request. Options range from smoked tofu pitas to smoked beef pita melts and greek salad or fries with feta, lemon and olive oil, and oregano.

You can opt to pay by debit, credit, or cash on delivery or, if you’d prefer to keep it contactless, sharing your credit card information in advance can make that happen.

The food truck’s current schedule is to be in Scarborough on Monday, East York on Tuesday, Old Toronto and York on Wednesday, North York on Thursday, and Etobicoke on Friday, but keep an eye on Instagram for notes on changes.
