A "thank you" from Kawhi Leonard to Toronto appears on billboard at Yonge-Dundas Square
Kawhi Leonard is no stranger to being on billboards in Toronto.
Earlier this year, a Kawhi “Board Man Gets Titles” billboard went up in the heart of the city at Yonge and Dundas Square.
And on Wednesday, Leonard will be making his highly anticipated return to the city he helped bring a championship to six months ago.
Kawhi and the Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Toronto Raptors, with a special pre-game presentation for his contributions taking place before tip-off.
But even before the game, all eyes were on Kawhi… at Yonge and Dundas Square.
Just like back in June, New Balance put up a giant billboard in Toronto’s downtown core, featuring Kawhi.
“Thank You Toronto,” it reads.
How cool is this? New Balance just released a new Kawhi billboard at Yonge and Dundas.

Besides Yonge and Dundas, visuals showing Kawhi also popped up at Scotiabank Arena as well as BMO Field.
The billboard that went up at Yonge/Dundas late last night was thanks to New Balance / Kawhi. These came from MLSE. They would have been visible to Leonard when he arrived in Toronto with the Clippers and I understand that they’ll be on display all day today. pic.twitter.com/lLgUmJJuOR

And on Tuesday night, when the billboards appears to have gone up, the Toronto Raptors also released a tribute video of their own for Leonard. Captioned “Fun Guy in town,” it features a montage of Leonard’s highlights with the Raps.

The Raptors have already played Kawhi once this season, losing 98-88 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
This will be the Raps’ first home game against Kawhi.
