A gaggle of stars from Netflix’s perpetually popular show Stranger Things just stopped by an equally beloved Toronto restaurant for a bite.
While no telekenesis or parallel universes were present at the celebrated Entertainment District Thai restaurant Pai this weekend, diners were still treated to a somewhat strange sight, indeed.
Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin, who play the leading roles of Mike, Dustin and Lucas, respectively, stopped by the restaurant unannounced for a meal.
Admittedly, stranger things have happened: Pai just so happens to be a celebrity hot spot in the city, attracting everyone from TIFF attendees to the entire cast of Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein movie.

“[Finn Wolfhard] back at PAI and brought Stranger Things co-stars [Gaten Matarazzo] and [Caleb McLaughlin],” the restaurant writes in the caption of an Instagram post showing the posse posing for a picture with co-owner and executive chef Nuit Regular and her husband, co-owner Jeff Regular.
Wolfhard, a Vancouver-born actor, has been known to frequent the restaurant (and Toronto, more generally), and this time, he brought his American co-stars along for the journey.
It’s unclear what brought the actors to Toronto, but with the fifth and final season of Stranger Things set to premiere on Nov. 26, the hype is real nonetheless.
In the wake of a refreshed mention on the 2025 Toronto Michelin Guide for Pai, it’s been an exciting week, indeed.
While the restaurant didn’t dish up any details as to what the crew ordered, if it were up to us, we’d pile their plates high with the Moo Ping skewers, Khao Soi, Kanom Jin Nham Ngeaw and, of course, that iconic Green Curry.

“They are so down to earth, such a pleasure to host them at PAI,” the restaurant responds to a comment on the post, though they don’t divulge how the actors themselves felt about their meal.
