A massive rink is opening at Toronto's shipping container market tomorrow

Toronto’s shipping container market is gearing up for the holidays with its new event, Holiday Hills.

Taking over the downtown plaza from November 22 to December 22, the stackt event is described as the city’s newest holiday fair and will feature 27 days of festive programming.

One of the highlights is the welcomed addition of Toronto’s first-ever ‘crokicurl’ rink.

Never heard of it? Don’t worry you’re not alone.

If you’re not familiar with crokicurl, it is a hybrid of two very Canadian games, crokinole and curling. The steps are simple, the game is fun, so grab your friends and family and come hit the rink.

Open Rink Times:

  • Tuesdays: 12 pm to 4 pm
  • Wednesdays: 12 pm to 11 pm
  • Thursdays through Sunday: 12 pm to 9 pm

Tickets are $47.92 and give you rink access for 50 minutes for up to four teams and four pretzels. Guests can check-in at the Belgian Moon Brewery when they arrive.

However, the rink is free on Wednesdays as part of Stackt’s community day.
