Canada's largest St. Paddy's Day party is taking over Toronto's waterfront this year

It’s almost time to turn green.

For your beer anyway.

St. Patrick’s Day is in just a couple of weeks, and Toronto is playing host to a massive waterfront party.

The green-clad epicentre of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, Guinness SPD will host more than 5,000 of the city’s Irish (at heart), at a 45,000 square foot sprawling party on Saturday, March 18. The Toronto bash will be following SPD’s Halifax edition — a massive dockside party held on Friday, March 17.

The event will entertain Torontonians all day and into the night. There will be live performances by Irish fiddler Lennan Delaney, Jamie Gutfreund’s 6-piece cover band In Living Cover, authentic Irish dancers, and top Toronto DJs.

And of course, to keep the Irish theme, Guinness draught and homegrown Irish whiskey, 2 Gingers will be flowing alongside thousands of free fresh flapjacks until 1:30 pm. And because Toronto’s weather is unpredictable there will be three large heated patios along the harbourfront.
