Here comes the rain (and thunder) again… and lots of it. So much so that Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Toronto for Monday evening.
According to the weather agency, “heavy rain” is expected in the city this evening and into later tonight.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop this evening and then sweep across the area late this evening and tonight.
Locally heavy rainfall accumulations of 35 to 45 mm will be possible with these thunderstorms before they move out of the area late tonight.
Environment Canaday says localized flooding in low-lying areas will also be possible.
But luckily it looks like the rain will pass just in time for Tuesday, which kicks off a week of (mostly) beautiful weather.
Tuesday is expected to be hot and sunny with a high of 25°C and a mix of sun and cloud in the forecast.
