Taco Bell trolls Toronto hip hop in Soft Taco Supreme description
Does listening to Toronto hip-hop make you soft? Taco Bell seems to think so.
While we’re not sure if it’s a diss or a compliment, the website for the American taco chain gives a shout out to Toronto’s gentler side in the menu description of its signature Soft Taco Supreme.
The warm, flour tortilla filled with beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream–plus an enviable selection of upgrades only available in the US– is described as having a “nice polite chill…” and personified as “the kind of taco that will bring flowers to your mom when it’s invited over for dinner. It remembers your birthday, even without the help of social networks. It’s so soft, it exclusively listens to Toronto hip-hop. Dreamy. Soft. Delicious.”
Even if it were a diss, Torontonians are unlikely to get offended… after all, as a city, we do actually possess a “nice polite chill,” our rappers are indeed gentlemen, and really, we’re more than happy for the recognition.
