Toronto bars hosting week-long charity-driven eggnog event

This holiday season, you can raise your glass, and some funds, for an important initiative.

Five west-end bars are serving up variations of eggnog, with a boozy twist, to guests from the 13 to 20 of December.

For each glass of nog sold, a portion of the proceeds will go to Socks 4 Souls, where the funds will be used to buy pairs of socks for someone in need in Southwestern Ontario.

Socks 4 Souls Canada is a non-profit, volunteer organization committed to contributing warmth, comfort, dignity, mobility, and health to homeless people by providing them with new, clean socks.

Bars participating in the eggnog event include Civil Liberties, Grey Tiger, The Gaslight, PrettyUgly, and Famous Last Words.

Those who wish to donate further can do so on the Socks 4 Souls website, and it’s not too late to be added to the list of participating bars. If you’re a restauranteur who wants to get involved, check out Nog Your Socks Off.

And drink up, knowing that these sips are making a difference.
