Snoop Dogg shouts out Toronto Maple Leafs after massive playoff win

The Toronto Maple Leafs got a pretty big celebrity shoutout on Instagram after a massive overtime win on Tuesday night.
In the moments following the goal that gave Toronto a 2-0 series lead over the Ottawa Senators, Snoop Dogg uploaded a photo he took last year with Leafs forwards Ryan Reaves and the overtime hero himself, Max Domi.
With Reaves not in the lineup, however, there was a bit of a rude crop on Snoop Dogg’s end, cutting Reaves out of the picture entirely.

Snoop himself is a longtime hockey fan, often repping many different jerseys of the cities he visits on tour and attending games wherever he can along the way. He was also featured as a guest commentator in the video game NHL 20, occasionally hopping in the virtual booth to offer up his thoughts on the league.
Interestingly, the Leafs and Snoop Dogg were once embroiled in a trademark lawsuit over a cannabis strain called “Leafs” that was affiliated with the marijuana aficionado.
Snoop isn’t the only A-lister keeping an eye on the Leafs, however. Possibly due to connections with his father, Tie, Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady have also been known to pop into Max’s Instagram comments from time to time.
Despite the celeb love, Max downplayed one of the biggest goals of his career when asked about it postgame.
“[I got] a little lucky,” he said postgame. “You get inside the hashmarks like that, the middle of the ice, you’ve just got to shoot it. Ullmark’s a heck of a goalie, but we’ll take it.”
The Leafs head to Ottawa on Thursday night for their first road contest of the series, when they take on the Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre. Already having their first 2-0 series lead since 2004, they’ll have a chance to move one step closer to their first series sweep since beating the Senators 4-0 in the 2001 playoffs.
