Care for a side of nutrition advice with your cosmetic dermatology?

At Shoppers Drug Mart, you can officially have it all.

The store has announced a new online nutrition service delivered by their registered dieticians.

“Not all Ontarians have easy access to dietitian services,” says Emily Campbell, a registered dietitian with Shoppers Drug Mart.

“With this new service, all you need is a mobile device, or a computer and you can have one-on-one personalized nutrition counselling from a registered dietitian to help you meet your health and nutrition goals through developing sustainable habits.”

Ontarians can now connect with a Shoppers Drug Mart registered dietitian through video or telephone counselling from anywhere in the province.

The new online service includes an initial nutrition consultation that includes approximately one hour of personalized assessment of your eating habits and the creation of a tailored nutrition plan.

Follow-up nutrition consultations help patients stay on track and learn practical strategies to help overcome challenges.

Consultations are available via phone call, or virtual call on a computer or mobile device between 12 pm and 8 pm, Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.

“Our goal is to make personalized nutrition counselling convenient for residents of Ontario,” says Theresa Firestone, senior vice president of health and wellness services.

“Our online nutrition service provides the same expert counselling you receive in-store but from a location and time that is convenient for you.”

Many insurance plans cover the cost of dietitian services. To learn more about the service, check out the website.
