A Brampton Shoppers Drug Mart reported a positive case of COVID-19 among one of its staff members on Tuesday.

According to parent company Loblaws, the Shoppers location at 930 North Park Drive reported testing positive on a presumptive test for the virus.

The last day the employee had worked was on December 31.

Several Shoppers locations over the holiday season reported cases in Toronto and the GTA.

Grocery stores during the busiest days of the year reported over 40 cases among their employees.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
