Brampton Shoppers Drug Mart employee tests positive for COVID-19

Six more positive COVID-19 cases have been reported at Toronto and GTA Shoppers Drug Mart locations from employees in over day.

According to Loblaws, on December 9, an employee at the 467 Parliament Street Shoppers Drug Mart tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus. The last day they had worked was on December 1.

In Brampton, two employees at 11965 Hurontario Street location tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 3 and December 5, respectively.

At a separate Brampton Shoppers Drug Mart location, 10661 Chinguacousy Road, three employees tested positive on a presumptive test for COVID-19. They had last worked on December 1, 2 and 4 respectively.

Several Toronto grocery stores and LCBO locations have also reported cases in the last few days.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
