Three COVID-19 cases have been reported from employees at Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Toronto and the GTA.

According to Loblaws, on December 16, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 3401 Dufferin Street, tested positive on a presumptive test for the virus. They had last worked on December 11.

That same day, another Shoppers Drug Mart location at 351 Queen Street East reported an employee testing positive on a presumptive test for coronavirus. The last day the employee worked was on December 11.

Another Shoppers Drug Mart location at 761 King Street West reported two employees testing positive on a presumptive test for coronavirus. They had last worked on December 6 and 11.

In the past few days, several other locations across the GTA reported positive cases among its employees, including grocery stores.

In an effort for transparency, Loblaws updates their coronavirus cases reported in stores by province within the last 15 days.

“In addition, we have mandated that our staff and customers wear masks in Extra Foods, Fortinos, Maxi, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstores, and T&T stores across Canada,” said Loblaws.
